A Note About Cosplay: We are more than happy for you to volunteer with us in cosplay. But do try to keep in mind that you are there as a volunteer first. If your costume or props are interfering with your volunteer duties, we reserve the right to ask you to change out of costume for your volunteer shift, or store the bulky prop somewhere safe until your shift is complete. This is for both your safety and comfort, as well as the safety and comfort of our festival attendees.
Volunteer Appreciation
We are continuing our popular Muffins for Minions program again this year. So there will be muffins available to all volunteers during all shifts (or until the muffins run out, but we try not to let that happen). You can also stop by the concession, flash your snazzy volunteer badge (or sash, or feather boa, or whatever, we haven’t decided yet) to get free non-alcoholic drinks during your shift.
Something new for this year is the Volunteer Swag Draw, where each shift you volunteer for gets you an entry into the draw for cool prizes donated by Pure Spec and our sponsors and supporters. Stay tuned for more details about that, including a list of the swag available.
